WTO Adds US Complaint To Philippine Liquor Tax Panel

Law360, New York (April 23, 2010, 1:10 PM EDT) -- A World Trade Organization panel that is considering the European Union's challenge to the Philippine tax regime on distilled spirits will also review the United States' complaint on the same issue.

The WTO's Dispute Settlement Body agreed to refer the U.S. complaint to the existing panel at its meeting Monday. The panel investigating the EU's complaint was established Jan. 19.
