Clifford Chance Cuts Partners' Management Work

Law360, New York (April 23, 2010, 3:30 PM EDT) -- Clifford Chance LLP has decided to transfer some management work to the firm's business development staff in order to free up more fee-earning time for senior partners.

The reorganization was outlined in a “corporate governance paper” that was reported Thursday by British publication Legal Week. A spokesman in Clifford Chance's New York office confirmed that the company was looking to shift some management duties from partners to business staff and said there was nothing surprising about the change.
