DOJ Ends Probe Into Switch And Data, Equinix Merger

Law360, New York (April 23, 2010, 6:00 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Justice has ended its probe into Equinix Inc.'s proposed $689 million acquisition of data-center operator Switch and Data Facilities Co. Inc., Switch and Data said Friday.

The DOJ told the companies the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act had been terminated, Switch and Data said. The companies expect the deal to close on April 30, subject to certain conditions in the merger agreement, they said.
