Intl. Paper To Pay $200M For SCA Asian Packaging Biz

Law360, New York (April 26, 2010, 1:01 PM EDT) -- International Paper Co. said Monday it would pay $200 million to buy the Asian packaging business of Swedish conglomerate SCA Group in a bid to beef up its packaging operations on the continent.

The Memphis-based paper and packaging manufacturer said it had finalized the all-cash deal to purchase 15 of SCA's plants spread across four countries. SCA and International Paper expect to conclude the purchase in the second quarter of 2010.
