Supreme Court Rules For AMD In Case Over Intel-Intergraph Settlement

Law360, New York (June 22, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that European Union regulators can be given access to sealed documents in Intergraph’s patent lawsuit against Intel.

However, the court instructed a lower court to decide whether it is appropriate to award those documents in support of a complaint filed by Advanced Micro Devices.

The Supreme Court, ruling 7-1, said U.S. law allows, but does not require, court assistance in the procurement of documents for foreign tribunals.
