Debt Collectors File Collective Action To Collect OT Pay

Law360, New York (April 28, 2010, 1:54 PM EDT) -- A group of debt collectors employed by First Financial Asset Management Inc. has filed a collective action alleging the company failed to pay them overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Atlanta-based FFAM failed to pay overtime for nonexempt employees who worked more than 40 hours a week collecting third-party debts, according to a complaint filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
