CIA Loses Bid To Dismiss Ex-Agent's Suit Over WMDs

Law360, New York (January 16, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- The Central Intelligence Agency has failed in its attempt to dismiss a lawsuit filed by a former agent who claims he was fired for refusing to rig intelligence on weapons of mass destruction before the U.S. invasion of Iraq.

In an order dated Jan. 12, U.S. District Judge Gladys Kessler rejected the CIA’s claim that federal employment law governing civil servants jostled the entire case outside her jurisdiction, even as she dismissed four out of six claims against the agency.
