Lasik Patients Oppose TLC Vision Ch. 11 Plan

Law360, New York (April 29, 2010, 3:31 PM EDT) -- Lasik eye surgery patients have come out in opposition to the recently court-approved TLC Vision Corp. restructuring plan, arguing that it unfairly discriminates against pending medical litigation claims by isolating them from the general unsecured bankruptcy claims and limiting recovery to nonexistent insurance.

TLC has not notified former patients of the Chapter 11 petition or plan confirmation proceedings as it seeks to eviscerate their recovery, showing a departure from required good faith, two patients claimed in a notice of objection filed Wednesday in the U.S. Bankruptcy...
