Senate Panel Approves Obama FERC Nominees

Law360, New York (May 6, 2010, 2:04 PM EDT) -- The Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources signed off Thursday on two nominations to fill out the five-member Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and approved several amendments to boost energy efficiency programs under proposed comprehensive climate change legislation.

In a unanimous voice vote, the committee backed the nominations of Cheryl LaFleur, former National Grid USA acting CEO, and Philip Moeller, who would sit for a second term on FERC. The nominations will now head to the full Senate for a vote.
