China, Russia Still Among Worst IP Offenders: USTR

Law360, New York (April 30, 2010, 6:29 PM EDT) -- The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative's Special 301 Committee has removed Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic from its watch list, but is keeping an eye on China and Russia with respect to intellectual property protection issues, according to the panel's annual report.

The Czech Republic has made significant progress over the past two years to control border markets, while Hungary has taken steps to address the growing threat of Internet piracy, according to the report, issued Friday.
