Seagate Sues Cornice Over Hard Disk Patents

Law360 (June 23, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Hard disk maker Seagate Technology has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against rival Cornice.

Seagate's lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, asserts infringement of six patents that relate to several areas of disk drive technology, Seagate said in a statement.

Seagate is seeking monetary damages and a permanent injunction that bars Cornice from making, using, importing, offering to sell, or selling the allegedly infringing products in the United States.
