Former Editor Attacks Paper Over Alleged Age Bias

Law360, New York (January 18, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A former editor of the Tampa Tribune has smacked the Florida newspaper with a lawsuit, claiming that he was the victim of age discrimination when he was demoted and eventually fired from his position.

On Tuesday, plaintiff M.W. Minarcin sued Media General Operations Inc., the Tribune’s parent company, in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, contending that the paper had violated the Age Discrimination in Employment Act.
