DOJ Hits St. Jude With Demand Over Defibrillators

Law360, New York (May 4, 2010, 7:04 PM EDT) -- Medical device maker St. Jude Medical Inc. revealed Tuesday that it had received a civil investigative demand from the U.S. Department of Justice requesting documents related to a probe into reimbursement practices for implantable defibrillator systems.

In a regulatory filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, St. Jude said it had received the DOJ's request in March.
