GM Recalls Hummers Over Hood Detachment Fears

Law360, New York (May 5, 2010, 4:09 PM EDT) -- General Motors Co. is recalling more than 162,000 of its Hummer H3 models because of a defect that could cause part of the hood to detach from the SUVs.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Wednesday that GM was recalling certain H3 vehicles from model years 2006 to 2010 and H3T vehicles from model years 2009 and 2010. Up to 162,129 vehicles could be affected, according to the agency.
