Brazil, DR Top List For New Sugar Export Allocations

Law360, New York (May 6, 2010, 4:35 PM EDT) -- The Dominican Republic, Brazil and the Philippines have topped the list of countries receiving higher allocations of how much raw cane sugar they can export to the U.S. before being forced to pay higher tariffs.

The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative announced the additional country-specific allocations Wednesday after the Department of Agriculture increased the amount of in-quota quantity for raw cane sugar for the rest of the 2010 fiscal year.
