6 Coal Mines Shut Down Following Inspection Blitz

Law360, New York (May 6, 2010, 7:19 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Labor's Mine Safety and Health Administration announced Thursday that it had suspended operations at six coal mines in Kentucky with a history of safety violations and sued two of those mines for illegally providing advance notice of a federal inspector's presence on mine property.
