Mass. Enviro Launches FOIA Fight Over Wind Farm

Law360, New York (May 7, 2010, 2:33 PM EDT) -- A Massachusetts conservation alliance has sued the federal government in a Freedom of Information Act bid for documents related to the first U.S. wind farm, which was approved in April amid fierce opposition.

The Alliance to Protect Nantucket Sound filed suit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on Thursday, alleging that the U.S. Department of the Interior violated FOIA by refusing to comply with the group's requests for correspondence between the project's developer Cape Wind Associates LLC and a third-party contractor....
