Okla. Black College Cleared In Prof's Race Bias Case

Law360, New York (May 10, 2010, 1:30 PM EDT) -- A federal court has tossed a discrimination lawsuit brought by a white physics professor who alleged that historically black Langston University denied him tenure because of his race.

Judge Timothy DiGiusti granted the Board of Regents for the Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College’s motion for summary judgment on Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma, rejecting plaintiff Timothy McMahon’s claims that his tenure was denied and delayed due to his ethnicity.
