CIT Affirms Higher Duty Rate On CamelBak Packs

Law360, New York (May 11, 2010, 3:37 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Court of International Trade has affirmed that backpack-water bottle hybrid maker CamelBak Products LLC's products were properly liquidated at a 17.8 percent duty rate, which the company argued was substantially higher than it should have been.

Judge Delissa A. Ridgway on Monday granted the U.S. government's motion for summary judgment and denied CamelBak's rival motion, as well as dismissing the case, which was designated a test case in 2006.
