Tyco Resolves Kimberly-Clark Breathing Tube IP Suit

Law360, New York (May 11, 2010, 11:17 AM EDT) -- Tyco Healthcare Group LP, now known as Covidien AG, can breathe a little easier, having settled Kimberly-Clark Worldwide Inc.'s infringement suit over a patent for a type of endotracheal tube.

Judge William C. Griesbach of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin on Monday dropped the curtains on the case after Covidien and its subsidiaries Mallinckrodt Inc. and Nellcor Puritan Bennett LLC agreed to license Kimberly-Clark's patent for the ventilator breathing tubes.
