Childhood Obesity Task Force Unveils Action Plan

Law360, New York (May 11, 2010, 5:14 PM EDT) -- The White House task force on fighting childhood obesity, which is spearheaded by first lady Michelle Obama, has unveiled a national action plan that proposes ways for the federal government to help children get healthier food and more exercise.

The plan draws on input from from 12 federal agencies, including the U.S. Departments of Agriculture, Education, and Health and Human Services, and on the 2,500 comments submitted by parents, teachers, doctors, nurses and others, the White House said.
