Spain Probes Shipping Cos. Over Price-Fixing Claims

Law360, New York (May 12, 2010, 4:49 PM EDT) -- Spain's competition watchdog has opened an investigation into the liner shipping industry, probing several companies suspected of price-fixing and market sharing.

The Spanish National Competition Commission, or CNC, inspected the offices of several companies in the passenger and cargo shipping sector on Tuesday as part of its probe, the regulator said Wednesday without identifying the companies involved.
