Gibson Dunn Advises Cadence In $315M Denali Buy

Law360, New York (May 13, 2010, 1:26 PM EDT) -- Semiconductor technology company Cadence Design Systems Inc. has agreed to acquire Denali Software Inc. for $315 million in cash, a move designed to build their collective intellectual property portfolios and provide more cost-efficient system component modeling.

Denali, a provider of electronic design automation software and intellectual property innovation, will have approximately $45 million in cash at closing, the companies said in a joint statement Thursday.

With unanimous approval from both companies' boards of directors, the deal is expected to close in the second quarter of 2010...
