Aleris Bankruptcy Plan Gets Court OK

Law360, New York (May 13, 2010, 2:45 PM EDT) -- A court has approved bankrupt aluminum company Aleris International Inc.'s Chapter 11 reorganization plan, which had received substantial support from key secured creditors in the United States and Europe.

The company on Wednesday requested that the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware give the go-ahead for the plan after it entered into a stipulation with Dantherm Filtration Inc., thus resolving issues with one of the last stakeholders still concerned about the plan.
