Sens. Seek Permanent Drilling Ban For West Coast

Law360, New York (May 14, 2010, 1:16 PM EDT) -- All six West Coast senators have united in favor of a bill that would permanently prohibit offshore oil and gas drilling on the outer continental shelf off California, Oregon and Washington.

There are no current plans for energy exploration and development in that area.
