UK Regulator Probes Infrastructure Ownership

Law360, New York (May 14, 2010, 5:13 PM EDT) -- Britain's antitrust regulator announced Friday it was studying whether the ownership of the country's infrastructure, including ports, airports and water networks, raises competition or other issues for consumers.

The key focus of the review will be producing a high-level map of ownership and control across the U.K.'s economic infrastructure sectors and analyzing how the ownership of infrastructure assets might affect outcomes for consumers, the U.K. Office of Fair Trading said.
