Damages Claim Upheld In Gore Faulty Device Suit

Law360, New York (May 14, 2010, 1:01 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has tossed breach of warranty and fraud claims in a surgical patient's suit accusing W.L. Gore & Associates Inc. of manufacturing a faulty synthetic mesh device used to treat stress incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse, but has upheld the plaintiff's bid to seek punitive damages.
