Fed. Circ. Won't Reconsider Chrysler Tax Refund Bid

Law360, New York (May 17, 2010, 3:09 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has rejected Chrysler Corp.’s request for an en banc hearing to reconsider its recent decision denying Chrysler a chance to recoup more than $782,000 it paid on an export tax that the U.S. Supreme Court later deemed unconstitutional.

The court denied the petition for a panel rehearing and en banc rehearing in an order Friday following a 2-1 ruling in January siding with U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
