Creamery Sues Flavor Co. Over $1.3M In Bad Cheese

Law360, New York (May 17, 2010, 2:42 PM EDT) -- Minnesota-based cheese maker Bongards' Creameries has filed a breach of contract suit against Kerry Ingredients & Flavours over a flavoring ingredient that allegedly was so bad the creamery had to recall or not ship hundreds of thousands of pounds of bad cheese worth more than $1.3 million.

Kerry sold the creamery three truckloads of Melocreme — a dry cream flavoring ingredient — that was so bad it caused the cheese to have a taste that was repugnant to many customers, according to a complaint filed Friday...
