Calif. Co. Recalls 27 Tons Of Beef Over E. Coli Fears

Law360, New York (May 17, 2010, 5:55 PM EDT) -- Montclair Meat Co. Inc. is recalling more than 27 tons of ground beef products that could be contaminated with a particularly deadly strain of E. coli, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced Monday.

The California-based company has recalled roughly 53,000 pounds of beef suspected to be tainted with E. coli O157:H7, the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service said in a statement.
