China Must Make IMF Currency Report Public: Sens.

Law360, New York (May 19, 2010, 4:57 PM EDT) -- A bipartisan group of lawmakers wants Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner to pressure China at an upcoming meeting to release an International Monetary Fund report that allegedly reveals the country is significantly undervaluing its currency.

In a letter released Tuesday, the senators asked Geithner to raise the issue at the upcoming Strategic and Economic Dialogue meeting with China, calling the report a “smoking gun.”
