Excelsior Loses Bid To Enforce Power Pact With Utility

Law360, New York (May 20, 2010, 3:42 PM EDT) -- A state appeals court has determined that the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission correctly found that Excelsior Energy Inc.'s proposed clean-coal power plant qualifies as an innovative energy project and thus fairly denied the company's bid for approval of a power purchase agreement with a local utility.
