Lexus Fix Will Take A Month To Implement: Toyota

Law360, New York (May 24, 2010, 6:47 PM EDT) -- Toyota Motor Corp. said Monday that dealers and customers will be waiting until the end of June before they are able to remedy a steering problem in 2010 Lexus LS sedans — an issue that prompted the beleaguered company's latest recall.

Toyota spokesman Brian Lyons said a computer component that would fix the issue should become available in about a month. Fixing the problem in customer vehicles will occur before the remedy is installed on sedans waiting to be sold, he said.
