Okla. Lawmakers OK Wind Energy Development Bill

Law360, New York (May 25, 2010, 1:45 PM EDT) -- The Oklahoma Legislature has passed a bill to govern the development of wind energy in the state, in an effort to balance the needs of developers and property owners and to protect the public as wind projects are implemented and decommissioned.

The Oklahoma Wind Energy Development Act passed the state House of Representatives on Thursday and the state Senate on Friday. The bill must still be signed into law by Gov. Brad Henry.
