ITC Initiates Probe Over Blumberg Lamp Collection IP

Law360, New York (May 27, 2010, 1:40 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has agreed to investigate a complaint filed by lighting manufacturer Blumberg Industries Inc. alleging that a Puerto Rican lighting retailer has imported from China light fixtures that infringe a design patent and other intellectual property.

The ITC said Wednesday it had voted to look into Blumberg's allegations that Lights & More Inc. violated Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 by selling infringing lamps at its retail stores in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Tampa, Fla.
