Quarter Of In-House Attys Foresee Less Outside Work

Law360, New York (May 28, 2010, 4:35 PM EDT) -- One-quarter of in-house counsel expect their legal departments to decrease work with outside firms over the next 12 months, and only 10 percent say they expect the work to increase, according to a new survey.

The survey, announced Tuesday, was conducted as part of legal staffing agency Robert Half Legal's 10th Future Law Office project, which investigates trends and developments in the legal industry. The results indicated that reducing spending is a top priority for corporate legal departments.
