Copyright Kicks In On Application Date: 9th Circ.

Law360, New York (May 28, 2010, 11:42 AM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has ruled that a copyright is officially registered on the date the application is lodged, further widening a circuit split on the issue of whether the application date or the date of the actual issuance of registration takes precedence.
