EU Urges US, Others To Rescind Protectionist Policies

Law360, New York (May 28, 2010, 3:48 PM EDT) -- The European Union on Friday urged its trading partners, including China, Russia and the U.S., to rescind the nearly 280 new restrictive trade measures they have enacted in the past year and a half during the fiscal crisis.

Citing a new report from the European Commission, the 27-nation bloc said that almost none of the recently passed trade restrictions have been lifted despite improvements in the economic outlook in much of the world and G20 commitments to halt new limitations made during the past two years....
