Costco Settles Tylenol Infant Death Suit

Law360, New York (May 28, 2010, 3:45 PM EDT) -- On the heels of a judge's decision to toss most of its expert testimony, Costco Wholesale Corp. has settled a lawsuit accusing it of causing an infant's death by failing to warn of potential dangers when it sold Children's Tylenol cold medicine.

In the stipulation, filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, parties said they had reached the basis for an agreement and proposed canceling several upcoming hearings in what had become a contentious court battle, including hearings on motions...
