China Unveils New Draft Anti-Monopoly Rules

Law360, New York (June 1, 2010, 3:04 PM EDT) -- The Chinese government has issued new draft guidelines under the country's anti-monopoly law on the abuse of monopoly agreements, market dominance and administrative power.

China's State Administration for Industry and Commerce released the draft regulations May 25, with comments on the proposed rules due back June 7. Though the agency has not yet initiated any anti-monopoly actions, experts said its procedural rules have become much more developed in recent years.
