DOJ Seeks More Info On Oracle, Phase Forward Merger

Law360, New York (June 1, 2010, 2:41 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Justice has asked Phase Forward Inc. for more information about a planned deal in which technology giant Oracle Corp. would snap up the medical clinical research software developer for $17 per share, or approximately $685 million.

Waltham, Mass.-based Phase Forward told the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in a filing Thursday that the request triggered an extension of a premerger waiting period imposed by the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976.
