Canada Issues Draft Guidance For Mergers

Law360, New York (June 1, 2010, 6:40 PM EDT) -- The Canadian Competition Bureau has issued guidance that provides information on the payment of fees, on how it determines the complexity of a proposed transaction and on what is required to commence the applicable service standard.

The draft guidance, titled “Fee and Service Standards Handbook For Merger-Related Matters,” was issued Monday, opening up a public comment period that will run until Aug. 2.
