Weed Whistleblower Sues Whole Foods

Law360, New York (June 1, 2010, 7:36 PM EDT) -- A Whole Foods Market Group Inc. employee allegedly ostracized for reporting marijuana use at the supermarket has accused the company of denying him promotions and raises because of his whistleblowing.

The complaint, filed Wednesday in Kentucky's Jefferson County Circuit Court, Division 11, claims Whole Foods has held plaintiff Kyle Rhodes to grueling standards and effectively demoted him after he dropped the dime on management employees who smoked pot during team leadership meetings at the Louisville supermarket.
