Antitrust Suit Over BellSouth, AT&T Rates Nixed

Law360, New York (June 2, 2010, 5:27 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit accusing BellSouth Telecommunications Inc. and AT&T Corp. of charging anti-competitive rates to competing telecommunications carriers that resell BellSouth's services in North Carolina.

Judge Robert J. Conrad of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina ruled May 27 that plaintiff CGM LLC — a billing agent for the competing carriers — lacked standing to bring the suit under the Telecommunications Act of 1996.
