Appeals Court Affirms Antitrust Dialysis Decision

Law360, New York (January 26, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- An appeals court has affirmed a lower court decision dismissing an antitrust lawsuit brought against a company that produces dialysis machine products.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit said in its ruling Thursday that HDC Medical Inc., which brought the case against rival Minntech Corp., failed to prove any of its allegations.

In the suit originally filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, HDC argued that Minntech changed the design of its dialyzer-reprocessing machine, Renatron, so that HDC’s reprocessing...
