San Diego Port, USF&G Suspend Enviro Coverage Spat

Law360, New York (June 7, 2010, 3:18 PM EDT) -- The San Diego Unified Port District and United States Fidelity and Guaranty Co. have agreed to suspend a coverage dispute until an underlying $12 million environmental mediation contract suit is decided.

Taking notice of the parties' joint motion, Judge Irma E. Gonzalez dismissed the case without prejudice in an order Sunday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California.

Neither the insurer nor the port corporation wish to pay for attorneys' fees and costs until the underlying lawsuit is resolved, the motion said....
