PPI, AIG Unit Settle Part Of Oil Facility Cleanup Suit

Law360, New York (June 8, 2010, 2:32 PM EDT) -- Petroleum Products Inc. and Bulk Plants LLC have settled part of their suit against insurer AIG Domestic Claims Inc., which allegedly failed to pay out insurance claims related to a hidden underground oil leak at a storage facility and a botched environmental assessment.

Judge Joseph Goodwin of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia on Monday approved the plaintiffs' request to drop four counts of the suit that had implicated AIG, two related companies and two environmental companies.
