EPA, Sierra Club Settle Wis. Power Station Permit Spat

Law360, New York (June 8, 2010, 4:44 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has agreed to take action on a Sierra Club petition challenging a controversial air permit granted to a Wisconsin power station, paving the way for the parties to close the book on a suit accusing the agency of shirking its duty by ignoring the petition.

If the court approves the settlement, the EPA will have 20 days to either grant or deny the Sierra Club's petition asking it to object to a permit held by the Wisconsin Public Service Corp.'s J.P....
