White House Threatens To Veto Senate GHG Move

Law360, New York (June 8, 2010, 6:13 PM EDT) -- The White House threatened Tuesday to veto a U.S. Senate resolution designed to stop the Environmental Protection Agency from regulating greenhouse gas emissions under the Clean Air Act if the measure passes in an upcoming vote.

In a policy statement, White House advisers said they would advise President Barack Obama to veto the resolution of disapproval proposed by Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, which is scheduled for debate and vote Thursday.
