Minn. Appeals Court Allows Power Line Projects

Law360, New York (June 9, 2010, 6:38 PM EDT) -- A Minnesota appeals court has cleared the way for Xcel Energy, Great River Energy and other utilities to move ahead with projects to construct high-voltage transmission lines across part of the state.

A three-judge panel of the Minnesota Court of Appeals on Tuesday held that the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission had complied with state law by reviewing the three projects and ensuring they are necessary.
